The mission of the school system is to empower UAE youth with the competencies needed for employment opportunities and lifelong learning. In keeping with this mission, the curriculum is based on the following principles:

• A curriculum that prepares students for the world of work while at the same time satisfying the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) school leaving requirements
• A focus on English language development, the use of technology, mathematics and science to equip students for success in the modern world
• A range of career technical subjects that make up five broad “clusters”: Applied Engineering and Technology, Computer Networks, Business and Accounting, Creative Media Production and Allied Health.
• International recognition of the Career technical component within the program by the awarding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications by leading overseas educational institutions
• A “hands-on” approach to teaching and learning that emphasizes the application of knowledge and the development of skills
• The promotion of important core values of professionalism, excellence and integrity
• Articulation into post secondary Institutes of Science and Technology
• Entry into UAE universities

Students who successfully complete the general stream will achieve the following graduate outcomes:

• UAE Ministry of Education Grade 12 High School Certificate
• A level 4 vocational Qualification by NQA
